Biography:
Langdon Wade Breuer

Langdon Wade Breuer, born in November 1943, grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. He attended the California College of Arts and Crafts and Oakland City College at a time when the Vietnam War, the Black Panthers and Flower Power were at their zenith.

Moving to Carmel, Wade studied for two years with John Cunningham at the Carmel Art Institute.

He lived for several years on the Riley Ranch at Point Lobos where he became an accomplished equestrian, horse breeder and painter. It was during this time that Wade trained dogs. His Russian wolfhounds, Steppenwolf and Boron, won highest awards for obedience at the Cow Palace.

In the early 70' s, he received his BA from San Jose State University. Following that he spent ten years painting and enjoying the slow and peaceful life along the Mekong River in Laos. After a few years in Thailand, he traveled to Western Australia where he resided for ten years along the coast between Sharks Bay and Cape Leeuwin, painting all the time and practicing Zen meditation with a master.

"My paintings are collective subconscious abstract works of story telling to nothingism."
